Awareness Social Marketing Software Launches New Foursquare Perspectives Tool

Awareness Logo Awareness Social Marketing Software, based in Burlington, Mass., is a leader in enterprise social marketing software that offers a cutting-edge social media tool to some of the world’s biggest brands and agencies. This tool is dubbed the Social Marketing Hub, an application that allows clients to publish, manage, measure and engage with their consumers across various social media channels.

foursquare perspectives from awareness logoA few weeks ago, they released a new tool, Foursquare Perspectives, that instantly caught our attention. Awareness found that executives everywhere were struggling to figure out how they could incorporate the popular social check-in application, Foursquare, into their marketing strategies. This is what triggered Awareness to develop a new tool to help organizations with high social check-in rates to measure exactly how visitors were interacting with their physical venues.

While Foursquare Perspectives is not directly associated with the company’s recent recognition as a nominee for the MITX Tech Awards in the Social Media category, Social Marketing Hub clients do find it especially valuable if they want to help identify key Foursquare venues that can generate the greatest response rate to published “Tips.”

The foursquare channel within the Social Marketing Hub application allows enterprise marketers to:

·      Simplify the process of publishing Tips to multiple Foursquare venues with a single click. With the Awareness Social Marketing Hub, you can publish Tips to 1 or 1,000 Foursquare venues simply and easily. These Tips will be shown to users who are checking in to your venues or near your venues.

·      Centralize venue management and group multiple venues under one centralized system.

·      Cross-promote marketing content across Foursquare, Twitter, Facebook, WordPress and more, using the same one-step publishing process offered through Social Marketing Hub.

It is a great tool to integrate with a company’s existing marketing mix to make it more social and rewarding for loyal customers.

As avid Foursquare users ourselves, we believe that this is a very groundbreaking tool. It is great for locations such as Boloco, Fenway Park, and Legal Seafoods — which are all hot Foursquare destinations around the Boston — to be able to analyze their traffic through check-ins and see how people are interacting with the business socially.

Awareness’ Christine Major told us in an Email that, “The [Social Marketing] Hub centralizes the management of all your venues in Foursquare and makes it easy to publish tips to all venues at once, or a targeted segment.”

This makes it very simple for a large enterprise to manage any type of social campaign integrated with a location-based metrics and rewards system. “The system allows marketers to tie Foursquare marketing programs to physical points-of-sale activities – something that has proven to be difficult to accomplish in the broader social web,” according to Major.

When asked how Foursquare Perspectives can help in terms of a company’s marketing efforts, Major explained that it can give marketers very in-depth information about who is checking into their venues and which venues have the most staying power.

“This information is the fundamental building block to enterprise social marketing with Foursquare,” said Major.

Since Foursquare is such a widely used location-based application with over 2M users to date, we can only imagine how immense this tool’s impact has been so far. In the words of Major, “Response has been awesome!” They instantly received a lot of buzz around the launch from mainstream writers to bloggers and agencies alike. Awareness’ current customers are using the tool along with the Social Marketing Hub to analyze their locations and have found immense value in it as well, according to Major.
