Jennie, thanks for mentioning my @marshsutherland/boston-startups-to-follow Twitter list and including @SocialGrow! Ken is doing a marvelous job creating brand awareness for SocialGrow, even before we had launched our Alpha application.

I think it's important for startups in Boston to support one another and I want to give visibility for the hottest ones in Boston.

I'm interested more nominations for inclusion in the list. Please feel free to nominate them by messaging me @marshsutherland on Twitter!

Marsh Sutherland
President | Co-founder
SocialGrow.com
@marshsutherland | @socialgrow

Hi Jennie,

Thank you for including us on your list, especially among such distinguished company! As @SocialGrow's Chief Tweeter (or "Chief Twit" when I don't proofread my tweets before sending them...), it's all about our followers, who are also the target customers for SocialGrow's social networking products and services.

A crazy, 24x7, *completely* public mashup of marketing, public relations, customer service, and product development, Twitter has been an incredible tool for helping us to listen and share.

As a marketer, I find Twitter fascinating for the constant innovation I see in how people are using it. As a small business owner, I find Twitter cost-effective for bringing people to our brand who otherwise might never have "discovered" us.

Regards,

-K

Ken Herron
Chief Marketing Officer | Co-Founder
SocialGrow Inc.
+1 888 SOC GROW, x2 Voice/Fax
ken.herron@socialgrow.com
http://socialgrow.com
http://twitter.com/socialgrow

Ironically, our buddy Matt just did a post on them! Literally, it's the post before this one. Runkeeper is amazing, huh? They've changed interact through exercise. I would have never thought the day would come when we'd be publishing our daily runs for all of our friends to see!

Hi Jennie,

As a marketer, I find Twitter fascinating for the constant innovation I see in how people are using it. As a small business owner, I find Twitter cost-effective for bringing people to our brand who otherwise might never have "discovered" us.

I immediately recognized how genuine and fun the Daily Grommet's tweets were and that's why I put you on the top of the list. You interact with your loyal followers and Grommet newbies the right way! You can tell there are people behind the Daily Grommet account and that is so important because it establishes trust in the community.

I understand how the three tweeters could get a little confusing. I think as long as it's uniformed and your sending the same message then it's fine. With more people tweeting, that means more tweets and that's always a good thing. One thing I don't like are the tweets with the initials attached (^), it makes the company seem disparate.

Thanks for stopping by Jules!

Thanks for the props Jennie! I shouted a "Woo hoo" when I read your post. We're really grooving on the kinds of interactions that surface on Twitter. We find new Grommets and really energized people who want to change the world, the way we do. I'm going to be speaking at SXSW next month and hope the Twitterverse there really dives in on some new Grommet ideas.

At the moment, three of us tweet, which does cause a little confusion. And I tweet "CEO" and personal stuff from @julespieri. I'm interested to hear how other people handle the multiple Tweeters challenge. Not technically. I mean communication-wise.
