True...and if you're young and new to the scene, I highly recommend DartBoston events, where you can meet fellow young people making things happen in the community and Cort is always around to give instant introductions and connections for newcomers.

Thanks Jason,

I agree, the events you listed are also good ones to attend, but I kind of wanted to keep it less daunting. I listed these three in hopes that people new to the "networking scene" would feel that it was manageable. These three events are a good way to get your feet wet. Overtime, those new to the scene can add more events like Tech Tuesday.

Thanks for the comment!

That's a good start, but I think there a few others to keep in mind:

Tech Tuesday
Mass TLC/Dan Bricklin's monthly event is always a great gathering of the tech community to show off what's next. There's usually a few really cool demos of new tech, often things coming from MIT.

Vilna Shul panels
Doug Levin does an amazing job of bringing in local brilliant minds like Harvard Business School professors and local VCs, Angels and established entrepreneurs. There's great networking before and after the panels too.

Open Coffee
This weekly Wednesday morning event always brings a diverse crowd of founders, innovators and investors together for some very productive networking. If you're anywhere near Central Square in Cambridge on Wednesdays, you gotta check it out.

Choosing what events to go to can be daunting, which is why I do GreenhornTV every week to highlight the best events of the week for the entrepreneur community (http://greenhornconnect.com/blog/greenhorntv-ep...). You can also check out our many events on our networking calendar that's focused on entrepreneurs. This week you'll find over 40 events and office hours to consider: http://greenhornconnect.com/events/calendar/201...

Look forward to seeing you all out there...there's a great community happy to meet you.
