Is your school on Facebook?
Oh Facebook, a college kid’s best friend and the reason you’re not doing your homework. Facebook has taken staking your crush to a whole new level; you can now know everything about them before the first date.
Do you know who else has embraced Facebook? Your school. That’s right schools around the country are hopping on “the book,” trying to see what this Facebook addiction is all about. Here’s a round-up of Boston school’s Facebook pages.
Not into joining clubs? Become a fan of your school on Facebook, it’s almost just as good as going to a weekly club meeting.
1. Berklee College of Music
Berklee’s got some of the hippest kids in the city who are not only on top of music trends, but fashion, art, and new media trends as well. Berklee’s Facebook page is active and constantly updated with events and news by students for students.
2. Boston University
B.U. doesn’t have quite as much focus on their students as Berklee– their “wall” is strictly for posts by B.U. It does give you a solid look into different aspects of the school’s culture. From a quick overview we got that B.U. is down with YouTube and hockey. Hey, we’re cool with that.
3. Northeastern University
I am sorry to say that NU’s Facebook page is lacking, the last update was on August 31st. Yikes! To make up for it, Northeastern has developed a seriously cool YouTube page.
4. Suffolk University
The Suffolk Facebook page is alive and active. Not only are they sharing interesting things happening on campus, but they’re also updating they’re statuses with endearing little updates.
5. Emerson College
It’s not surprising Emerson’s page is one of the most interactive out of all the schools in Boston. Their “wall” is filled with student and Emerson College posts. The wall is filled with students looking for help with cool projects they’re working on and community-wide events.
6. Simmons College
Boston’s all female college has a decent Facebook page. They’re asking questions and promoting ways to get involved in campus. Fans are active on the page as well and are using that “like button” like crazy.
7. Emmanuel College
With the least amount of fans, Emmanuel College rounds out our list. They’re keeping a fairly live stream of what’s happening on campus, but the student engagement is lacking.
We know there are a ton more colleges we have yet to cover. Not to worry; we’ll get to them.
While you’re on Facebook, why not fan Bostinnovation?
